Challenging day 2 for Live Ocean Racing in the ETF26 in Spain
Live Ocean Racing Team
Racing in a fleet that’s attracting some of the world’s best sailing talent, day two of the ETF26 Mar Menor regatta saw Live Ocean Racing drop to 6th on the leaderboard.

Just two days into event one for 2024 and all signs point to the fact that the competition has gone up another notch.

Skipper Liv Mackay reports breeze of 14-17 knots in Mar Menor where the eight strong fleet sailed another five races, including two upwind starts and three reaching starts.

Live Ocean Racing’s scorecard from today reads 7, 7, 6, 6, 8, which sees them slip to 6th overall in the standings.

Mackay says, “It was a challenging day for us on the water today. Tomorrow we’ll be looking to come back out strong, to keep improving our boat handling as a team with the aim of getting some low scores on the board on day three.”

Frank Cammas and the Entreprises du Morbihan (FRA) crew consolidated on their early lead holding strong in the top spot, while Team Rockwool Racing 1 and Nicolai Sehested (DEN) had a good day out and sit ten points behind the lead. Toroa Racing (GBR) rounds out the top three.

Tomorrow’s schedule includes another five races on what will be day 3 of 4 in the regatta.
